The Celtics get Skip who spreads the floor out more, Chuck Hayes giving offensive fouls last night, and a streaky Aaron Brooks who the Celtics may want because of his performance. They loose Kendrick Perkins, their streaky Rajon Rondo, and 3 bench players. The Rockets may be trading a couple of 3pt shooters and the chuckwagon, but they get the guy who messed up Yao last night (that wouldn't happen anymore), Rajon Rondo, and a few future superstars. I gave away Brooks to make the trade more attractive to the Celtics.
The Pistons get an extra three-point-shooter (who's really good) to spread the floor out. They do have to give an extra rebounder, a guy who might be a huge star in this league, a future 1st round rick which would make 2009 Draft Night really boring and a bit of cash considerations. Skip is not a bench player though. To me, to make this trade, means giving a point-guard (which we have alot of) for another rebounder which we need to a least have a chance against the Jazz in case we face them again in the playoffs, a future-super star, a 1st round pick to bring entertainment to Draft Night and some cash. That I would buy.
Darrell Arthur is really all I want. It's a good bargain for Memphis. To give away someone who could be one of the satrs in this league and you get a star who may rise again. Despite trading Javaris Crittendon, you get a 2nd round round pick which makes this trade more attractive to Memphis. Trade away Steve Francis and a future second round pick for Darrell Arthur and a bench player plus money. To me, it doesn't mak a huge difference if I make this trade. Yet, it could make Houston greater than it already is. I'd make this trade.
This is also a variation of another trade idea I found somewheres. Shane Battier is a great defender to be Minnesotas possesion. Luther Head, Chuck Hayes, and Aaron Brooks are OK bench players. They make up for alot of what Minnesota is trading to Houston. Mike Miller was on the USA team in the olympics and he's also somebody that the other bloggers like to have. Rashad McCants, I hear, is kind of threatening and I heard he's good. Miller makes up for Battier, Hayes, and Brooks while McCants makes up for Head. I wouldn't make this trade because Battier is a needed defender on our part. I don't want to give him up. Minnesota wouldn't want to give up Miller. So, either way, this wouldn't work.
This is just a variation of another trade idea I found somewheres. Chuck Hayes and Aaron Brooks makes up for Channing Frye and Rafer Alston makes up for Steve Blake. That's a trade I wouldn't make if I got to choose because I don't know a whole lot about Frye and Blake. Blake isn't as good as Alston though.
Well, in this scenario, the Celtics get another 3pt shooter and this is another addition to what is an already fantastic line-up and their floor is spread out with more and more 3pt shooters. The Celtics gave up Rajon Rondo (a crafty defender and scorer), Gabe Pruitt (a bench player and made a gamewinner in the preseason game against Houston), a future first round pick (which now would make their 2009 NBA Draft night obscenely boring), and little bit of money. The Celtics would take this trade because they get a good shooter (and who is crafty on defense) for not that much.
I would mind making this trade a bit but it would be a good decision. Now, I get Rajon Rondo who has championship (who also robbed everybody in the NBA Finals), Gabe Pruitt (who I don't have to worry making gamewinners against us), a future first round pick (that'll make Draft night interesting) and cash (which I can use to find free agents next summer). I have to give up my favorite player. Yes. Skip is my favorite player. I get some good out of the trade though. It gives us more championship experience.
